Thun Dina

Thun Dina was born in 1989 in Kampong Cham province. In 2013, he finished a training course on "Pencil Drawing Techniques" at the Yamada School of Arts in Phnom Penh. A year later, he earned his B.A. in "Oil Painting" at the Royal University of Fine Arts, Cambodia. He is currently pursuing a master degree of art in painting at the Royal Academy of Cambodia.

Dina is an independent artist whose works are inspired by his surroundings and living environment, especially the change from a harmonious rural life to an urban one, which he experienced when he left the countryside and settled in Phnom Penh.

His technique of multicolor paintings makes his work of art very appealing and unique in style and meaning. Thun Dina uses a subtle blend of traditional and new techniques. Thun Dina's artworks were exhibited in Cambodia, South Korea, Singapore and in 2017, Dina's paintings were selected for the 81st Shinseisaku International Exhibition in Tokyo, Japan.
