Theo Vallier

Théo Vallier is a self-taught French contemporary artist whose practice has its roots in Marseille’s graffiti culture. Based in Phnom Penh since 2007, he has developed a multidisciplinary body of work that combines mural painting, screen printing, and painting on oxidized metal.

His work draws on two main sources: Khmer mythology, through symbolic figures and narratives inspired by Cambodia’s cultural heritage, and the street scenes of Phnom Penh, a city he considers both an artistic and personal home. His work captures fragments of urban life and translates them into visual compositions where the boundaries between reality, memory, and perception blur.
